THE FOUNDATION SHALL organize/ convene trainings / capacity enhancement programs for state drug law enforcement agencies officials in order to nurture best quality investigation techniques amongst them and enhance the quality of justice delivery system in the state. It shall take all NECESSARY measures to collaborate with the central and state training institutes, concerned departments in order to hire authorities/ faculties for the same. This effort shall enhance the investigation skills/ power of the investigating officers and supervisory officers of the state drug Law Enforcement authorities and improve the scale of conviction rate in prosecution cases undert NDPS Act, 1985.
The trainings on section 45 to 47 of the NDPS Act, 1985 for revenue, Forest officials to be included.
2. Drug Demand Reduction and counselling measures
a) Mass Awareness campaigns for Young People (13-25 years)
b) Mass Awareness campaigns for Young People (26- 45years)
c) Mass Awareness campaigns for Community Leaders such as Mahila Mandals, Yuvak Mandal, NSS Volunteers, NCC Cadets, R&R
d) Awareness programs/ campaign for addicts arrested for small quanities of frugs under NDPS Act and who should apply for reforming themselves and seek Immunity from prosecution on the grounds under section 64 A of the NDPS act
e) Parenting Counselling for parents of the school / college going young people.
3. De-addiction treatment and rehabilitation Measures
a) Registered Volunteers of the Foundation
b) Health workers
c) Doctors deployed at Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Community Health Centres (CHCs)
d) Counselling staff of other NGOs/ Government De-addiction and rehabilitation centres.
